I tried to play with the idea of readymade objects with my works, fusing it with some traditional techniques
maximum woodcarving. Idea of a sculpture changed through time and situations. As the modern world goes
restless, the space around us gets more intense. My works explore that aspect of space as a concept. Generally
the idea of a sculpture starts with it standing on a pedestal. I tried to move away from this idea and occupied
more vast and tangled space for my subject to breathe in. An unconventional space makes the creation more
human and creates a deep and intimate experience for the viewer.
My works observe and try expressing my perception of society and how I see things and issues around me. We
claim to be civil because we have cities and were able to form society. That is why I use animal figure with human
traits as my subjects. My work are in some way a satire on political and social issues the common man faces on a
day to day bases. I try to show the state of the world we live in, I don’t talk about how it can get better or if
should be better. I just try to show the exaggerated view of the mess we create in our social and political
surrounding and try look in the corners where nobody looks and nobody talks about.
