Gajanan Kabade is an emerging abstract painter from India. Kabade spent the first 16 years of his career focusing exclusively on landscapes before he grew tired of the subject and transitioned to abstract paintings. Dissatisfied with the effects of acrylic and oil paints, Kabade’s primary medium is cellotape, a transparent, polypropylene-based, pressure-sensitive tape, which the artist layers on the canvas to create his dynamic pieces.
