Anandita Banerjee is an abstract artist and trained interior designer based in India. My work is rooted in quite abstraction — watercolour, ink, and intuitive line-work unfolding through layering, movement, and restraint. I am drawn to forms that feel organic and atmospheric, where softness and structure can exist together. The process itself is deeply meditative for me; when I paint, I feel fully immersed in the work, allowing the image to emerge slowly and intuitively. With a background in interior design, I think about art not only as an image, but as presence: how it holds space, how it shapes the mood of a room, and how it can bring calm, depth, and subtle rhythm to an interior. Natural textures, shifting light, memory, and inner landscapes often influence the visual language of my pieces. Each work is created through a process of allowing pigment to settle, blur, gather, and breathe. What emerges is a balance of fluidity and grounding — one-of-a-kind compositions that feel contemplative, tactile, and quietly alive. I create original works for contemporary interiors, hospitality settings, and personal spaces seeking warmth, stillness, and a refined visual presence.
