This metal casting is inspired by an angelfish. Instead of making a realistic fish, I focused only on its body pattern. I used the pattern to build the entire form of the fish. The shape is created through repeating lines and textures, rather than a solid body. In this work, pattern is not decoration—it becomes the structure itself. The fish is formed through pattern, not covered by it. Through this sculpture, I want to show how small details can create a complete form. It also changes the way we see an object, from realistic to abstract.
